iPhone LCD glass and screen both are rugid in nature, even if iPhone dropped from hand it sustains the vibration. But the impact is proportional to the speed it dropped and the floor type. Otherwise iPhone earlier versions like 2G and 3G had reports of LCD dead pixels issue on strange situations. Many users would find iPhone LCD dead pixels anywhere on the screen their phone screen, the dead pixels normally like strip affects left to right ends. It may disable touch functionality on the Unlock Button, Main Menu or mostly on Phone application where numbers like 0,*, #, Call, 1,2,3,4 keys or 7,8 & 9 keys wont works….if these keys doesn’t work in iPhone telephone keypad, then the iPhone is of no use.
As well replacement of iPhone LCD cost almost 30% of the iPhone price, though it can be replaced, iPhone users wait some months to buy the new model instead of repair…till such time, using dead LCD phones becomes a irritating specially to use phone calls..for which the iPhone is meant for.
Some users, still manage to use notepad and enter the numbers by rotating the iPhone in portrait and landscape modes to enter all number characters and then dial from their notepad by enabling URL detection settings.
Well, to sort this iPhone LCD dead screen, Touch screen dead pixels a new app “Dial Screen” application is published at iTunes Store
Features :
1 – Rotate Dial screen works on all four sides left, right, up and down
2 – Dial a number from any portrait or Landscape
3 – You can use complete phone keypad characters except # key
