Endhiran review

In single line…..”Endhiran is a disappointment for Rajni fans and a technology entertainment for General Audience, specially for those who have not seen Hollywood movies with technologies”. I did watch this movie yesterday in  my town, ticket costing Rs.100. I felt the amount is little costly for the infrastructure of the theatre and for the mosquito bites as well, after the movie was over, I just thought I could have called  chitti robot to catch  mosquitos :).

Coming to the movie…..Is Endhiran made for Rajni or Rajni booked for Endhiran?
Even if not Rajni, Movie should been well received, as movie being a Technology concept & it is first time in Indian Cinema. The movie resembles that it is only the Rajni, who attracted such a big investments & market.

I should appreciate producer and director for investing on developing graphics to show technologies, but at time I had to laugh about the technical aspects  for the simple reasons….

1) As far as I can hear…..I hear it as 1 MHZ processor & 1 Giga Byte memory.. which looks to be funny! If that was something else, that should have been pronounced more better. Any case, I am not sure how far the director went to technical experts to discuss about the concepts.. I guess it is lagging.

2) Other funny part is correcting Robo bugs,  they demonstrate it using Screw Drivers and just 2 Comedians in the complete lab 🙂

3) In the climax, I cannot understand how 100 duplicate Robos shape up like thousands of robo’s in creating  shapes and objects. I guess, the count is not correct from my part..if Chitti produces “n” number of robo’s, When all of them are deactivated the count just goes to less than 100. Any magic?

Talking about good things and bad things.

Good Things:

– Animation is very good, specially I like the formation shapes in Climax. Wonderful job by developers.
– The first half of movie is fantastic and makes you to concentrate on the movie
– Chitti costume is very good than the old hero.
– It is a first of a kind transformation movie in Indian Cinema
– Aishwarya seduces little bit with her title at times, well used for audience!

Bad Things

– The second half is an effect of not having strong continuation story after the first part!
– Oh…no…an Old man acting like hero, old scientist, acting as lover is too hard to view  and hard to digest.
– The lab trying to show could have been better. More scientists should have been involved on the scenes, atleast some jobs would have been created. Kids watching the movie also get confidence there are more job opportunities like that…… 🙁
– Instead of Rajni, this time Santhanam smokes at two scenes, but the producer & director have no courtesy to display Caution notice during the scene!  Guess the movie rules have been changed again!?

Shall I recommend?
It is a movie to watch, expect good things in first half and climax, but not necessary to buy at premium price. If you are a Rajni fan, don’t go as a Rajni fan. Still you can enjoy the entertainment.
